This stunning collection include 3 robust F1 varieties of Brassica, which are perfect for early cropping, helping to maximise the use of your veg plot. The three varieties are:Broccoli Aquiles F1 – A versatile Calabrese variety primarily grown for late Spring/early Summer cropping. In around 65 days after transplanting, you will be rewards with smooth, fine-domed heads. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 75cm (30").Cabbage Duncan F1 – An RHS AGM winner, known for its versatility, producing beautiful early greens in Spring, and then tight, pointed hearts in summer. Height 40cm (16"). Spread 50cm (20").Cauliflower Alston F1 – Known for maturing quickly and withstands Summer heat very well. Usually ready from 65-85 days after transplanting. The leaves will wrap around to protect the curds from sunlight. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 60cm (24").Pot up plug plants and grow them on in warm, frost free conditions until plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting out in a sheltered position in firm, rich fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Consult individual plant descriptions for planting distances. Prepare the soil in early spring by adding plenty of well rotted farmyard manure to the soil to improve its structure and fertility.
