Cabbage Lodero is one of the best and produces tightly packed, good sized rounded uniform heads with purple-red leaves. An excellent maincrop ready for harvesting from late autumn onwards. Cabbage Lodero has an excellent flavour whether eaten raw, cooked or in pickles. so this a good reliable all-rounder! Grow in the kitchen garden for a quick red tasty coleslaw and as a bonus, the leaves retain their colour when cooked. This cabbage has the honour of being the first clubroot resistant red cabbage! The cabbages are an upright variety and so can be grown closer together than usual making this handy for the smaller garden.
