The stunning Halimium April Sun is a hardy shrub that boasts beautiful yellow blooms from may to august which are a magnet for pollinators. This dwarf evergreen shrub forms neat mounds of colour that’s perfect for containers and makes superb ground cover or edging for rockeries. This low maintenance shrub needs little attention, requiring a light trim after flowering to keep its dense, bushy form. Halimium 'April Sun' is drought tolerant once established, low-maintenance and disease-free. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only. Plant rock roses into moderately fertile, neutral or alkaline soil, in full sun. Halimium dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. Once established, rock roses can easily tolerate dry sandy soils. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, rock roses are relatively drought tolerant and require minimal maintenance.
