Bred as part of the Summer Paradise Series, 'Times Valley' is a showy perennial with a neat, compact habit ideal for the front of borders or containers on the patio. The pale pink blooms of Alstroemeria 'Times Valley' are freckled with contrasting dark burgundy markings, for exotic-looking blooms that make excellent cut flowers for the home. With its delicate looking flowers you’d expect this Peruvian Lily to be equally delicate by nature but this tough variety tolerates temperatures down to -15C (5F)! Pot up Alstroemeria plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, plant Peruvian Lilies in a sunny or semi shaded position in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Alternatively, plant Alstroemeria in patio containers in soil-based compost such as John Innes No.3.
