The Thompson & Morgan Camellia blooming wonder garden flower has always been a popular choice for their showy spring blooms and green foliage. With the three wonderful colours to choose from Red, Pink, or White, these double bloom flowers form a large pointed bud that blooms in April through to May and will give beautiful flowers. The Camellia Blooming Wonder flowers are perfect for planting in patio containers which will make a beautiful focal point that will last for many years. Camellia plants require a moist, well drained, acid soil in a sheltered, shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow Camellia plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3 and position in dappled shade. Water regularly until plants are fully established. Where possible, use rainwater as the lime contained in tap water will reduce the acidity in the soil over time. Feed Camellias occasionally with fertiliser for acid-loving plants. Protect plants from cold winter winds and strong early morning sunlight, as this may cause the buds to drop in early spring.
