A simple, calming water feature for any garden or outdoor space, even a balcony! No electric wires or solar panels required. Our Patio Pond Kit is quick and easy to install, 3 beautiful aquatic plants can be grown in our stylish 41cm bowl. Each kit also comes with a planting basket and compost gravel pack. The 3 aquatic plants are Iris pseudacorus, tall stems that produce golden flowers, which bees and butterflies love. Acorus calamus ‘Argenteostriatus’ creates striking, variegated straight leaves, and then Pontederia cordata, produces heart shaped leaves and purple flower spikes. Empty the soil mix into the aquatic planting basket, and plant the bare-roots so that the growing point sits just below the soil surface. Cover the surface of the soil with the gravel to hold the compost in place. It is recommended that the planting basket is gently submerged in a bucket of water to allow the compost to become completely soaked through. This will allow any loose compost to float to the surface before you position it in the main planting bowl. Place the planting bowl in its final position - choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot. Transfer the planting basket to the bowl and then gently fill with water.
