Golden Elderberry is an easy to grow hedge, with large bright yellow leaves making it a large shrub to form a dense covering, making an ideal windbreak or screen. In the summer months it is covered in clusters of tiny, creamy white flowers which later develop into well know elderberries, which the birds love. This variety makes a brilliant choice for a decorative and wildlife friendly hedge. Height and Spread: 4m (13”). Planting distance 30cm (12”). 4 plants per metre for a single line hedge.Grow Sambucus in any moist but well drained soil in full sun or dappled shade, plants will also survive on poor, chalky soils.Elderberry require very little pruning except for general maintenance and shaping in winter.
