Meconopsis baileyi 'Hensol Violet' is named after its origins from Hensol House, Scotland, where it was discovered by Lady Henderson. This 'collectors plant' surprises many poppy-lovers, who have never seen this unusual perennial before. This exquisite, cultivated form boasts bright violet-purple, almost shimmering flowers, with a hint of red. 'Hensol Violet' makes a stunning addition to shady borders when planted in groups in cottage gardens, wildlife and woodland areas. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 30cm (12").
