This incredible Pansy matrix mix is an exquisite and unusual mixture of multi-layered frilly flowers, many of which have delicate 'cat's whisker' markings. Something really different for Winter colour and interest. A dazzling array of fruity colours to brighten up your borders and patios, will fill your garden with sweet fragrance; they are long flowering, very hardy and perfect for patio containers and flower beds or borders (plant 15cm apart). Pansy 'Matrix' are compact and will grow to about 15cm (6), and perform best in full sun or light shade. Supplied as a 20 x garden ready plant, ready to plant straight out in Autumn Bring your garden to life. Perfect for pots, beds and borders. Specifications Supplied as 20 garden ready plants Availability: September to November Planting time: September to January Flowering time: January to June Top Tips Fill baskets and containers with these hardy pansies and you'll get an astonishing display of colour. Care Information Planting Advice for your Pansies Unpack plugs immediately and stand them in water for an hour. If you can't do this, they can sit in their mini greenhouse for a week if upright and not too wet. Plugs may be slightly dry or yellow after being in a dark box in the post, but they'll quickly recover. Put them somewhere warm, light and airy such as a windowsill or greenhouse. When potting on, handle plugs carefully. Pot on using our 9cm pots in Shuttle Trays, using good multi-purpose compost. Alternatively, plant straight into containers and grow on for a week or two before placing out. Give your plants a good watering initially, then only when the top compost starts to dry. They don't like to be left in standing water. Plant approx. 20cm (8in) apart to allow them room to grow. Feed using a high potash feed such as Blooming Fast Superior Soluble Fertiliser for Flowers & Fruits, to encourage flowering. Deadhead when flowers fade to encourage more flowers. Aftercare advice Regular maintenance and watering are essential to growing fabulous baskets that last the whole season. Check and water containers every day in summer, (unless the compost is wet). Aim to keep the compost moist but not soggy and avoid wetting the foliage and flowers. From March to June, apply a general-purpose liquid fertiliser once a week. Pruning and Trimming Deadhead and trim your plants regularly to maintain shape and encourage new flowers. Do not allow plants to set seeds.
