With this rose variety the buds begin as a rich scarlet, and as the frilly-edged petals unfurl, each flower becomes a beacon of intense orange, fading out through shades of pink. The foliage occasionally succumbs to an early bout of downy mildew, but is quick to shake it off and grows on to be clean and healthy.
