Selected from ‘Red Edge’ parentage, Thompson & Morgan Hebe ‘Super Red’ is virtually identical but with much improved colouring to its winter foliage. Emerging purple-red, new shoots gradually mature to grey-green with red margins. As autumn progresses, the entire plants turns a rich shade of wine-red that will light up borders and containers through the coldest months. Lilac-blue summer flowers add to this hardy evergreen’s appeal, and its compact, rounded habit makes this little shrub undemanding and low maintenance. Perfect for growing in containers, rockeries, at the front of sunny borders or as a low evergreen hedge.
