The fast-growing, twining stems of Jasminum officinale (best known as Jasmine) are perfect for quickly covering a wall, fence or trellis. Grow Jasmine plants in any moist, well drained soil in a sunny or semi-shaded position with shelter from strong winds. Grow Jasmine against an appropriate support such as trellis or wires attached to walls and fences. Tie the shoots into their support as they grow. After flowering, prune out the oldest stems, and reduce the remaining stems to restrict their vigorous growth to the available space.
