This hardy evergreen shrub also has a very handy upright and narrow habit, making it a perfect option to add colour and interest to the back of shaded borders. Grow Pieris plants in a sunny or partially shaded position, in a moderately fertile, rich, well drained and acidic soil. Alternatively grow Pieris in large containers, using ericaceous (acidic) compost.
