Agapanthus 'Snowstorm' produces masses of stunning white flowers for around 10 weeks each year, more than any other agapanthus variety.- Compact, and easy to care for thanks to its drought tolerance. This hardy perennial is ideal as part of a group or on its own in a container. The upright stems are perfect for cut flowers. Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 . Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn.
