The slender, bright green leaves remain evergreen for year-round interest. Bamboo is ideal to grow as an attractive screen, plus it is useful as a leafy understorey in woodland gardens. Easy to grow and fully hardy, Phyllostachys vivax f. aureocaulis holds a prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit for its garden performance and makes an elegant specimen for borders or large patio containers.
