Have an eye for rare plants? Why not add this trio to your garden. The evergreen shrub looks beautiful, even when not in flower. Unique lantern shaped blooms hang elegantly from long stalks surrounded by luscious deep green foliage. The thick-petalled, waxy flowers are produced over many months, continuing until the end of summer. As well as the better-known, red-flowered species, this trio includes two rare and much sought-after varieties. Ultimate height: 4-8 metres (13ft - 26ft). Ultimate spread: 2.5-4 metres (8ft to 13ft). Crinodendron Trio comprises the following varieties: •Crinodendron hookerianum - The original species with vibrant red flowers set against deep green foliage. •Crinodendron ‘Ada Hoffman’ - An unusual selection with dusky-pink flowers. •Crinodendron ‘Alf Robbins’ - Much sought-after, rare variety - the only selection with pure white flowers. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only. Plant in fertile, well-drained, acid soil in partial shade or sun, as the roots will appreciate being kept cool and shaded as it prefers a sheltered position behind a wall for example. In the late winter, feed with a fertilizer which is slow releasing, and add mulch around the shrub with ericaceous compost, leaf mould and pine needles. Remove any damaged or dying branches to help flowering for the following year. Please note: This product cannot be delivered outside the United Kingdom.
