Christia obcordate is an extraordinary plant that makes a special gift for a curious plant enthusiast. Each leaf is held on sprawling stalks that are so thin that the leaves almost seem to float in the air, gently fluttering like a butterfly. Maximum height and spread: 40-60cm (18-24in). Grow in bright, indirect light, avoiding strong, direct, sunlight. Maintain the temperature above 13°C. Provide high humidity by regular misting. Water regularly between spring and autumn when the first couple of centimetres of compost have dried out, feeding during the growing season with a balanced houseplant feed.
