Offering greater vigour, higher yields and increased soil-bourne disease and pest resistance, our Grafted Tomato 'Buffalo-Trio' F1 comprises of 'Buffalopink', 'Buffalosteak' and 'Buffalosun'. This trio of cordon, Marmande-type varieties includes a red, pink and golden-yellow beefsteak tomatoes bringing the best mix of colour and flavour together to make the ideal addition to salads. Boasting early ripening and delicious flavour this trio will produce large, ribbed fruit in clusters of 3-6, each weighing 250-300g on average.How to grow:Pot up and grow plants on in warm frost-free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all frost-risk has passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over a period of 7-10 days. Choose a sheltered position in full sun on fertile, reliably moist, well-drained soil, and transplant at a distance of 60cm (24") apart. Alternatively, grown in patio bags or containers in good quality compost such as John Innes No. 2. Drive a (5') cane into the soil adjacent to each plant to support them and tie each main stem to its support with soft twine.Water plants frequently, to keep the compost evenly moist. Feed regularly with a high potash plant food once the first truss of fruit has formed. Once 6-7 trusses are produced, pinch out the top of the main stem. This process will increase light and air movement availability around the fruit and focus plant energy on producing a high-quality crop.
