Dahlia ‘Lubega Power Tropical Punch’ produces a fruity cocktail double flower, with coral pink and yellow shades. This variety has upright short stems, with a branching habit and will produce continuous flowering from July all through to the end of October. Perfect for brighten up your garden borders, patio containers or window boxes. Height and spread: 35cm (14in). Pot up Dahlia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise dahlia plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out in beds, borders and containers. Choose a position in full sun on any rich fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Feed and water dahlias regularly throughout the growing season. While dahlia plants are still young, pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage bushier growth and masses of flowers. Deadhead faded dahlia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Bedding dahlia are generally grown as annuals, however dahlia tubers may be lifted in autumn and stored over winter in trays of peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position if required.
