Shallot Autumn Triple Pack is a tasty collection of three varieties, that each produce their own beautiful flavour perfect for adding to your favourite dishes.This Collection Contains:. Jermor – A slightly elongated shallot that produces copper coloured skin with a great tasting, pink-tinged flesh. Each bulbs produces around 6-8 bulbs when due to harvest. This variety is best planted from Mid-January.. Golderen Gourmet – This variety will produce plenty of heavy crops with good flavour. This variety keeps well for several months. Best planted from February.. Red Sun – This variety produces large red shallots with a distinctive spicy flavour. Producing firm skins and solid bulbs they store well for months. Best planted from February.Plant shallots in rows in any firm, well drained soil in full sun. Prepare the planting area several weeks in advance by incorporating some well rotted garden compost to improve drainage and soil fertility. Avoid planting shallots on freshly manured soil. On particularly wet ground, try growing shallots in raised beds. When growing shallots from sets, plant the bulbs so that the tip of bulb is just protruding through the soil surface.
