These carefully-selected bare-root plants make a great-looking mixed hedge for year-round interest, or you can grow them as shrubs around the garden. Blackthorn will produce sloes which are famously used for making sloe gin but can also be used to make jam or jelly. Crab Apples can be cooked into desserts or made into crab apple jelly, as they are high in pectin. Elderflowers and berries have many uses, wine and cordial drinks being popular.
