This Stunning variety of Gladiolus is perfect for planting in the autumn for a spectacular display in the spring. This variety produces these magnificent magenta-coloured flowers with delicate white splashes, producing up to 20 blooms per stem. Originating in the Mediterranean this variety will naturalise very well in this country. This Gladiolus will come into full bloom once the spring bulbs have gone and just before the summer beds fill with there full colour between May and June. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 10cm (4”). Plant gladioli in groups at 14-day intervals to extend their flowering season, and enjoy their fabulous blooms all summer long. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 15cm (6"). In autumn, allow the foliage to die back naturally before lifting the corms and cleaning them of soil and any remaining stems. Dry them in a well ventilated position for 2 weeks before storing them in a frost-free location for the winter. When growing gladioli in mild areas with particularly well drained soil, it may not be necessary to lift the corms. Apply a dry mulch of bark chips or leaf mould in autumn to protect the corms from cold, wet weather.
