Rose 'Happy Anniversary' is a delightful living gift to mark a special occasion! This floribunda rose produces showy salmon-pink blooms in summer, with an intensely deep fragrance. The blooms are borne freely on this repeat flowering variety. Plants are neat and compact, making good container plants but they are equally happy in beds or planted at the front of sunny borders. The pretty, fragrant blooms make lovely cut flowers for bouquets or a vase indoors. Bare root roses will arrive trimmed back, ready for the new season, they will exhibit little signs of growth on arrival with possibly some buds in view. The bare roots should be planted as soon as possible in the ground as long as the soil is not frozen or waterlogged, if this is the case, do not allow the roots to dry out, place in a large container and cover with damp compost, or wrap the roots in damp cloth. Your bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Once planted, they will remain in their dormant state until the spring. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
