Product Description :

This showy climber is ideal for training onto a pillar, pergola or wall, and copes well with a north facing position. This eye-catching rose produces a profusion of peachy, semi-double blooms throughout summer, with a light, honeyed fragrance. The flexible, thorny stems are cloaked in glossy green foliage, which makes a handsome display and complements the blooms wonderfully. H: 2.5m (8’). S:1.8m (6’). Your bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Once planted, they will remain in their dormant state until the spring. Above ground you won't see much happening over the winter, but the roots will be establishing ready for your roses to grow away quickly once the warmer weather arrives. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole. Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late summer begin pruning climbing roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged stems. For the first two years the remaining stems should be trained horizontally on wires. From the third year, the main stems can be reduced to maintain the plant within the available growing space. Side shoots should be reduced to 3 buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
