Flowering all summer long and well into autumn, these low-maintenance and easy to grow plants are just the thing to bring long-lasting summer colour to pots and sunny borders. Producing continuous clusters of blooms, each pale pink with a vivid pink splash, they make a dazzling biclolour display. Pelargoniums like these are naturally drought tolerant - perfect if you’re looking to save water or if you’re often away from home. Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded geranium flowers to encourage more spectacular blooms to be produced.
