This showy Bidens provides a dazzling display of semi-double, golden flowers complemented by spreading feathery foliage from July to October. This variety is more compact than other Bidens, so less likely to become straggly over time, making a fabulous filler for mixed containers or to plant as a single variety. These undemanding plants are ideal for spilling over the edges of patio pots and hanging baskets, or as an informal groundcover display in summer beds and raised beds. Pot up Bidens plugs and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting at a later date. Pinch out the growing points while the plants are still small to encourage more stems. Regular pinching will create a shapely compact plant that is perfect for containers. When plants are well grown acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to planting them in their final positions.
