Oenothera biennis is better known as Evening Primrose. This biennial wildflower is a magnet for pollinating insects, with an upright, bushy habit and fragrant yellow, cup-shaped blooms in summer. A great choice for sunny positions on light, sandy soils, once established, plants will self-seed to create drifts of plants. A fabulous addition to wildlife areas and wildflower planting schemes, where it creates a naturalistic effect. The Kew Pollinators range of seeds from Thompson and Morgan has been specially created alongside the experts at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to attract and support a wide range of pollinators, including bees, butterflies and beetles, as well as a number of other important pollinating insects.
