Ideal for hedging or screening, although Copper beech can reach 12m tall it can be kept to almost any height required with pruning, which will help maintain good density and a tidy form. Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea hold most of its leaves over winter even though they have died off - this helps to keep privacy to a maximum and shield the new growth the following spring.
