Vinca Major ‘Variegata’ is less aggressive as Vinca Minor, but is still as vigorous. With fantastic variegated evergreen leaves, painted dark green with creamy-white margins, these are fantastic for use as groundcover perennials. Perfect for sunny positions, occupying large areas of ground or sloping banks. Plant out Vinca major into any moist, well-drained soil. Periwinkle is a particularly tough plant and will thrive in any garden position, provided that the soil isn't dry. Feed and water Vinca plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Vinca require only occasional attention. Pruning Periwinkle is best undertaken in spring when they can be cut back hard to restrict their growth.
