Rhododendron 'Mother's Day’ is a neat little shrub, perfectly sized for growing in patio containers or at the front of ericaceous borders. Plant it en masse to create a blaze of spring colour for an unforgettable display. Choose a position in semi or dappled shade with shelter from cold drying winds to grow Thompson & Morgan Rhododendron 'Mother's Day'. Ensure soil is moist, well drained and enriched with plenty of well-rotted organic matter. Many dwarf Rhododendrons can cope with a sunny position provided that the soil remains reliably moist. Where soil conditions are alkaline, plants are best grown in patio containers, using a mix of ericaceous compost and a soil-based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
