These stunning winter flowering bulbs produce large, showy blooms. A firm favourite for growing on the windowsill or in the conservatory, bringing a splash of colour on dull winter days. From picotees to stripes, the hippeastrum varieties included in this Amaryllis Collection will brighten your home with their sensational shades. You decide when you want them to flower – winter, spring or early summer – simple keep bulbs cool and dry until you want to plant them. Bulbs should flower 1-12 weeks after planting, depending on growing conditions. Collection comprises: Amaryllis 'Picotee', Amaryllis 'Lemon Star', Amaryllis 'Minerva' and Amaryllis 'Dancing Queen'. Plant amaryllis bulbs in containers of loam-based compost such as John Innes No.2, and place in a bright, warm position in full sun. Plant amaryllis bulbs so the shoulders of the bulb protrude above ground level. Water only sparingly until the stems appear. Height: up to 45cm (18in). Spread: up to 3cm (12in).
