Easy to grow from seed, simply sow on the surface of a good free-draining, damp seed sowing mix, and place in a propagator or seal container inside a plastic bag at 20-25°C (68-77°F) until germination, which usually takes 10-21 days. Transplant seedlings into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots once large enough to handle, and gradually acclimatize them to cooler conditions before planting out after all risk of frost, spacing them 23-30cm (9-12in) apart.
