Thompson & Morgan Hibiscus ‘Red Heart’ is a wonderfully distinctive variety of this old favourite, with single, trumpet-shaped, pure-white flowers with rich ruby-red centres from late summer, alongside deep-green foliage. Thompson & Morgan Hibiscus ‘Red Heart’ is an upright, multi-stemmed, spreading shrub and, although being reasonably high maintenance, blends well into landscapes where it is most attractive to bees and butterflies. Choose a position in full sun when growing Thompson & Morgan Hibiscus ‘Red Heart’ and plant into fertile, reliably moist, well-drained soil. If growing in patio containers, use a good quality soil-based compost. Feed and water Thompson & Morgan Hibiscus ‘Red Heart’ regularly until fully established.
