Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime' is much smaller than its sibling Hydrangea 'Limelight', but equally as impressive. A compact paniculate, perfect for growing in smaller gardens in containers or pots on the patio. Glorious lime-green flowers are produced in late summer that fade through creamy white to soft shades of pink. It will also cope well in tricky north facing positions. The colourful foliage in autumn adds seasonal interest and adds to the charm of this beautiful shrub. When growing Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime' choose a sunny or semi-shaded position with shelter from cold drying winds. A non-alkaline soil is preferable, as well as a fertile moist soil. Improve the quality by adding plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Water regularly until the plants are fully established. Leave the faded flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect them from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth and improve the shape of the plant.
