Tried and tested mixer setups can be stored as "show" with all settings and re-established as needed by pressing a button.Mixing deskThe RØDECaster Duo White has seven freely assignable input channels, four of which have long 100 mm faders as well as select, mute and solo buttons. The remaining three input channels are virtual and are operated via touch screen and encoder. The following connections or signal sources can be assigned to the channels: The rear Neutrik combo sockets (XLR/jack), the front headset socket (3.5 mm TRRS), RØDE wireless, Bluetooth®, USB1, USB2 as well as Smart pad audio. You can connect (XLR) or electric guitars or line sources to the two combo sockets. The ultra-low noise high-gain preamps (up to 76 dB pre-amplification) deliver a crystal-clear audio signal – even in insensitive, dynamic speech microphones. For condenser microphones the required 48 volt phantom feed can be switched on. If necessary, you can activate the mix-minus and ducking functions, WAS is helpful when involving external guests.WirelessWith broadband Bluetooth®, music and speech are received in first-class sound quality, and the other way around, signal output is possible via an external Bluetooth speaker. In addition, a wireless receiver is built-in: From one RØDE Wireless ME, Wireless GO II, Wireless PRO transmitter or Interview PRO you can directly sink into the RØDECaster Duo White; firmware updates can be done comfortably via WLAN.RecorderIf you insert an optional microSD card in the rear slot, the RØDECaster Duo White can be used as a standalone recorder. Alternatively, you can connect a suitable (sufficiently fast) USB-C storage medium. You can start recording by pressing the red REC button in the upper left of the display. The recording can be done in stereo or multitrack. If you want, you can also use the RØDECaster Duo White as an audio interface and record it on your computer.Dual audio interfaceThe RØDECaster Duo White offers two independent audio interfaces. Two computers or two smartphones and a combination can be connected to the rear USB-C connectors (1 and 2) and integrated into the setup, thanks to MFI certification also iOS devices. Smart padsThe six programmable Smart pads are used to start or import audio files as well as to trigger MIDI commands, voice FX, mixer actions such as fade-in and fade-out as well as other functions. Via two bank switch buttons, one can gain access to 7 further banks for a total of 48 actions.
