After the sudden disappearance of multiple children in the town a group of friends get together to figure out why. The original Stephen King novel might be the best known of any in the undisputed master of modern horror's bibliography, and both the original TV miniseries and the modern film remake (made twenty-seven years after the original, coincidentally) have terrified audiences.
