After the sudden disappearance of multiple children in the town a group of friends get together to figure out why. They discover their worst nightmares; Pennywise the Dancing Clown who appears every 27 years to feed on the fear of the towns children. IT the movie is based on Stephen King's 1986 horror novel with some scenes in the book being too disturbing and horrific for any T.V adaptation. In the town of Derry, Maine, children are going missing, and none of the adults seem to care. A gang of kids who call themselves the Losers Club find the horrifying truth: an omniscient, shape-shifting entity returns to the town every twenty-seven years to feed on human flesh- flavoured by fear. It can assume the form of whatever scares you the most, but most will see it as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, one of the most terrifying figures in cinema. The story follows the Losers from their early childhoods through to their final showdown as adults with the creature that they can only call 'It'. The original Stephen King novel might be the best known of any in the undisputed master of modern horror's bibliography, and both the original TV miniseries and the modern film remake (made twenty-seven years after the original, coincidentally) have terrified audiences.
