Description

Nestling in rich coastal farmland on the edge of the moor Boskednan is a period granite farmhouse set in an ideal location for walkers and bird watchers while being within easy reach of the beaches of St Ives and the town of Penzance. The farm is not a working farm but has horses and pasture where guests can walk and enjoy magnificent views of the south coast. The house is set in an informal garden which guests are welcome to use. Sun loungers are available. Accommodation is accessed via a separate front door affording the guests privacy. Breakfast is buffet style including freshly baked croissants and a selection of ham and cheeses etc. Produce is locally sourced wherever possible.

Boskednan is surrounded by an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty including many ancient sites dating back 5000 years. These are easily reached on foot. For birdwatchers it is a paradise with cuckoos and nightjars present during the breeding season and winter visitors such as hen harriers and short eared owls. Many restaurants and pubs are available in Penzance which is about a 10 minute drive. St Ives can be reached by car along the picturesque North Coast road in about 20 minutes. The famous five miles of golden sands at Hayle are within a 30 minute drive. From here it is possible to take the small branch line train to St Ives.
