The Coach & Horses is in a prime location on the bustling high street of Barnard Castle.
We have seven letting rooms some with en-suite that are available at competitive prices.
To the rear is a large beer garden that is covered by the sun all day but sheltered from the wind making it an ideal place to spend your afternoon s in the sunshine with a nice cold beer. The Coach and Horses is the only pub within the town centre with a pool table and with regular drink promotions.
We are central to the shops and within walking distance from Bowes Museum which is housed in a 19th century French-style chateau and we aren t too far from the ruins of Barnard Castle. We are in close proximity to the Tees river which is just a short walk from our front door.
With the pubs warm and friendly atmosphere it makes it a great place for family and friends to drop in for a sociable drink.
Every Wednesday there is a market on the cobbles and the first Saturday of every month there is a Farmer s Market.
We do hold Live Music events on a Saturday night and Sunday tea-time...this makes it a great weekend to have a little dance and sing your heart out.
