Strathmore lawn East is a Grade 2 listed Victorian stone-built house dating back from the 1850 s and has kept many of its original features such as traditional stain glass panels fireplaces and decorative ceilings.
Located in the historically rich town of Barnard Castle there are plenty of activities you could do to keep you occupied such as hiking or other outdoor activities in the surrounding countryside learning more about this history of the area or simply seeing what you can find on the high street.
We cater for as much diversity as we can so no matter who you are you ll love staying here. Even with the traditional style and layout of the house you still get to enjoy modern luxuries that Strathmore Lawn East has to offer like central heating colour TVs and Wi-Fi.
Despite its age Strathmore Lawn East changed into an incredibly successful and high quality Bed and Breakfast after being converted and hosted by Margaret Lodge for almost 30 years.
