Description

The Old School is the oldest property in the village of Scremerston 3 miles south of Berwick-upon-Tweed and five minutes from the delightful Northumberland coast.

This stylish and comfortable bed & breakfast is easy to reach by car just two minutes off the A1 half-way between Newcastle and Edinburgh both 60 miles away. Berwick-upon-Tweed with its shopping pubs and restaurants is just three miles north. Guests can be collected from - and returned to! - Berwick station with its fast links to London and Scotland.

Breakfast is served in the old school hall now tastefully restored as an impressive guest lounge and games area. If weather allows breakfast can be taken on the south-facing patio in the gardens.

Holy Island is a 15 minute drive away (tide tables available!) just north of the impressive castles of Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh. Alnwick home of the famous gardens is a half-hour drive. Venture further afield to Newcastle or Edinburgh both 60 miles on the A1 and 45 minutes by train from Berwick.
