The Mount Somerton is a grand but friendly house set in an acre of lovely gardens yet only a three minute walk to three pubs and the charming Georgian town centre of Somerton.
This large 200-year old home is peaceful and quiet with lots of private off-street parking free wi-fi and overlooks countryside. We offer excellent accommodation just 15 minutes from Glastonbury Tor and Glastonbury Abbey and 20 mins from a direct train line to London.
The Mount B and B is a lovely 3 storey Georgian house a few minutes from Yeovilton Langport and the A303. We are close to several RSPB nature reserves lots of National Trust properties including Lytes Cary Tintinhull Barrington Court and Montacute House.
For tourists the must-see city of Bath is also just an hour away. If you want to do some outlet shopping the renowned Clark s Village in Street is only 10 minutes away.
And we like our guests to enjoy peace and privacy: if you book for two people to stay in one of our rooms at The Mount you get your own private bathroom not a pokey en-suite. Or you can book the whole top floor which gives you a master bedroom with a king bed a twin room with two singles a modern bathroom with a fantastic separate shower and bath plus your own dining room. Your dining room has a sofa dining room table and chairs microwave and toaster and tea and coffee making facilities.
Some of the villages around here that we recommend you visit include Kingsdon (great pub) Long Sutton (charming village green) Pitney (good children s playground famous Half Way House pub) Knole (lovely thatched houses ) and Muchelney (historic Abbey). We love this area and we would love to host you while you too explore the charms of South Somerset.
