Bar/Lounge Description
The pub is located near the centre of the popular Wiltshire town of Mere easily accessible from the busy A303 London to Exeter trunk road. About half way between London and Cornwall it provides a much better alternative for travellers than roadside cafes.
The Butt of Sherry was originally built when a widow and her son set up as spirit dealers in 1848 and the building has retained a wealth of charm and character.
Mere also provides an ideal base from which to explore the many local tourist attractions including Stourhead House and Gardens Longleat House and Safari Park and Stonehenge
We offer just 2 rooms at The Butt of Sherry therefore we like to offer Breakfast at a time of your choosing however we do ask that you check out of your room by 10am.
