The Log House Restaurant and Accommodation is located on the outskirts of Ambleside town center set in a Norwegian log cabin. The log cabin was imported to The Lake District by the famous local artist Alfred Heaton Cooper at the turn of the century shipped over from Norway and the building still has its original log beams throughout making it a quirky place to both eat and stay.
With three quirky cosy en-suite rooms to stay that are situated in the apex of the roof you will be spoilt with a free cooked hearty Lakeland breakfast. To top off your experience even more you also have fantastic views of the mountains from some of the bedrooms.
The Log House offers a fantastic dining experience serving great British food with a Mediterranean twist. The house speciality not to be missed is the HOT LAVA STONE cooking bringing a fun and exciting way to cook your own food live at the table. In our menus we aim to bring you a range of tasty ideas that will enhance your Steak Stones experience.
Our philosophy is to use only top quality seasonal produce to reflect our passion for honest flavorsome food. Enjoy dining in our contemporary restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.
The Log House truly is the perfect setting to use as a base and explore the glorious Lake District.
