Your Aga cooked breakfast will be served in the conservatory where you can enjoy the shade of the grape vine which is reputedly over 70 years old. In warm weather you are welcome to breakfast on the terrace where you will glimpse parts of the informal half acre garden. The garden is a work in progress. The drawing room has big comfy sofas for a relaxing evening with a log/coal fire in the winter. Heathcote House is the perfect place for exploring the captivating county of Dorset with countryside little changed from the times of author Thomas Hardy.
There is plenty to occupy you whether you want to visit a historic house or garden walk in some of the most unspoilt countryside through historic landscapes. There are Museums and attractions to suit all interests and the dramatic World Heritage Jurassic coast is within easy reach. All the sporting and leisure activities are in abundance.
