The Markets Tavern is located in the heart of Brecon built as part of the old livestock markets out of local stone it has long been the pub of choice for the local farming community. The market is now long gone replaced with a super market and town centre car parking the Tavern now caters for visitors and shoppers looking for a comfortable place for a drink or bite to eat though you will still see some of the farming community in the bar.
Our Rooms located on the top floor of the building are bright and comfortable and away from the noise of the pub downstairs. They are a mixture of en-suite and shared bathrooms all have tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen TV s. Guests can park in the pubs private car park at the rear of the building.
The Bar is open daily and serves a wide range of meals and drinks at competitive prices we always have real ales on tap and have special offers on food and drinks every day.
