Pyle Guest House is a 200 year old farm house set in the Somerset countryside overlooking the Yarty Valley in Devon. Our house is surrounded by farmland and woods with spectacular views. We have 3.7 acres of garden with an orchard paddock and ponds. We have ducks hens and turkeys as well as a golden retriever and a cat so we welcome well behaved dogs on request. We have put lots of benches around the garden for our guests to sit and enjoy the views and relax on nice summer evenings.
There are some lovely pubs in driving distance that provide good wholesome food.
The M5 and the A303 are within easy distance to allow all the wonderful places of interest that Somerset Devon and Dorset have to offer. It is easy to get to both the North and South coast as well as all the National Trust properties and other places of interest.
Nearby is Chard Ilminster and Honiton which are small towns but where all the amenities can be found.
We have two rooms at Pyle House. a double and a twin with a sofa bed. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate disabled people or very young children. Both our rooms are bright spacious and airy and have ensuite shower rooms which are well appointed with large fluffy towels and toiletries. The rooms have a wardrobe a chest of drawers bedside cabinets a hair dryer large mirrors and a TV. They have tea and coffee facilities and comfortable beds with 100% cotton sheets. Both rooms also have somewhere for guests to sit and relax.
There are communal areas for our guests to sit and read with books and games for them to use.
Our dining room has the morning sun streaming in whilst our guests enjoy our home cooked English breakfast with locally sourced food and home made jams marmalades and bread. Fresh fruit yoghurts and juice are also available with gluten free and vegetarians catered for on request. All is served using linen napkins and bone china crockery There is a patio area where breakfast can be taken if so wished.
