Highertown Cottage can be found in the tiny village of Brompton Regis (approx. 200 inhabitants) nestled in the Brenden Hills in the south east corner of Exmoor National Park in Somerset. With views of rolling farmland this 300 year old two storey cottage with its colourful patio garden has two upstairs double guest rooms which share the bathroom. Comfortably furnished with double glazing and central heating means cosy comfort all year round. A locally sourced hearty breakfast served in the main living room is included in the price and the local pub provides excellent evening meals. Walking cycling horse riding fishing and water sports at nearby Wimbleball Lake (1.8 miles away) are activities our guests can enjoy locally or just relax by the river with a cream tea and watch the world go by. The perfect place for a long or short stress-free break in beautiful Somerset.
The local village shop is 2 doors away and sells a range of local jams honey and other produce - nice gifts to take home! The attractive town of Dulverton is 4.5 miles away with great local shopping a cash point in the supermarket and the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park. There are also a range of restaurants available to discover there.
We regret that Highertown Cottage with its steep narrow staircase low ceilings and uneven upstairs floors is unsuitable for physically disabled guests. Older children are welcome (10 ) accompanied by an adult. Off-road parking is available next to the property.
