Situated just outside Tetbury close to the Westonbirt Arboretum is The Cat and Custard Pot Inn. It sits in the centre of the village Shipton Moyne and It is home to five new B&B rooms a bustling bar and restaurant. All rooms have been decorated individually with pieces of antique furniture in each giving each room its own identity. This is also reflected in the names for them taken from local farms: Cranmore Madam Tynings and Elmleaze. The dining area is light and airy with further tables added by opening up a room at the back of the pub. The menu veers toward the traditional but traditional done well . The pubs well loved bar area has a feel that it has been frequented by villagers regulars and guests of Westonbirt for hundreds of years. The walls are adorned with pub treasures and pictures of Cotswold traditions in particular an explanation of the Cat & Custard s pub sign and name coming from an illustration in the book Handley Cross by John Leech.
