The Ferry House Inn is a beautiful 16th Century Country Public House situated at the edge of the Swale Estuary on the peaceful Isle of Sheppey. Outside it is set in three acres of terraced lawns and offers a superb panoramic view over the water and inside offers open log fires traditional wooden beams and solid oak floors. Beautifully individually furnished rooms with good quality beds come as standard reflected by our 4 Star Silver Award for excellence from Visit Britain.
Whether you re here to simply relax and unwind in the tranquil and idyllic surroundings or sampling the wide variety of local activities and interests you are greeted with a homely atmosphere. A full Harty breakfast awaits you in the morning complete with local sausages & Bacon Free range eggs local honey and juices. The Inn prides itself on home cooking from locally sourced fresh produce which is reflected in the quality and presentation of all its meals with game provided seasonally from the local shoot & quality meats from our own farm.
We can welcome guest check-ins from 2.30pm - 9.30pm. Self-check in or Early-check in outside these hours is available by prior arrangement. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children under 12.
Please note we do host a variety of weddings and functions throughout the year if you are booking for a peaceful stay or a stay in peak summer season we recommend you contact us directly to enquire as we can advise you of any functions taking place.
IMPORTANT NOTE - The Inn & Barn Restaurant Opening Hours:
Autumn/Winter/Spring: Tues - Fri 11am-3pm and 6.30pm-11pm Sat 11am-11pm Sun 12pm-5pm. Closed: Mondays & Sunday Evenings so NO DINING AVAILABLE.
Summer (June-September): Mon - Sat 11am-11pm Sun 12pm - 5pm. No dining on Sunday Evenings.
